Pros: CharTTool is an advanced stock market Internet browser. Several charts or indices related to stock could be displayed, view intra-day or end of day view of these charts for stocks mutual funds etc. It is possible to display multiple stock charts at a time. These charts could be of technical indicators. Tech indicators such as Bollinger bands, price channels, moving averages, fast and slow stochastic oscillators, relative strength index, MACD, trading volume and others can be tracked based on stock exchange data. Bollinger band being A band plotted two standard deviations away from a simple moving average price of s tock. Because standard deviation is a measure of volatility, Bollinger bands adjust themselves to the market conditions. When the markets become more volatile, the bands widen (move further away from the average), and during less volatile periods, the bands contract (move closer to the average). Technical traders often use the tightening of the bands as an early indication that the volatility is about to increase sharply. Similarly MACD analysis is a trend-following momentum indicator that shows the relationship between two moving averages of prices. The MACD is calculated by subtracting the 26-day exponential moving average (EMA) from the 12-day EMA. A nine-day EMA of the MACD, called the "signal line", is then plotted on top of the MACD, functioning as a trigger for buy and sell signals.
